The Outside voices from Kent Ohio are a 5 piece American rock band who performs original material. They will be opening the evening for one of the Pittsburgh area’s hottest original bands, the Hawkeyes. Be sure to catch this epic two band performance at the Club following the final Downtown Sharon Waterfire gathering of 2018!

The Rock Jazz Trio hails from the Slippery Rock/Grove City area. With Jane Gregg on violin, Tony Bellassai on upright bass, and Dennis Grosky on acoustic guitar and vocals, our music is “gypsy jazz,” an upbeat style of music made famous by Django Reinhardt in the 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s. We also play the music of Gershwin , Mancini, Jobim, and Sinatra, all in the gypsy jazz vein. Our music has a vintage feel to it that will keep you tapping your toes

A night that pays tribute to the surf music genre that began in California the 1960’s with bands like the Beach Boys, Dick Dale, the Ventures, and the Tornadoes, and the tradition continues to this day! The night opens with the Hi-Fi’s, and closes with the Grease Monkeys …two great local surf music bands from the Youngstown-Warren area are ready to kick sand in your face. Beach attire and Hawaiian shirts are encouraged and welcome …and anyone with one of those colorful prints will be rewarded during the intermission!

Visiting us again is the T.C. Davis Band, a group that’s been featured by Pittsburgh’s WDVE. They play a mix of originals and covers, all falling into what they describe as “southern soul and rock-n-roll”!

Robin & Bob are a musical duo that was formed in early 2017. Bob has been playing guitar for over 30 years and Robin has been singing in some capacity since she was a young girl. Some Club members may remember Bob from Shannon and the Merger, and Submerge. Their sound is a mix of blues, folk and rock all intertwined. The duo have opened for The Danielle Nicole Band, Albert Cummings and Davina and the Vagabonds. They perform throughout the tri-state area and are in the process of recording their first CD!

Tina Daniels is a vocalist performer from the Pittsburgh area who takes to the stage with her high energy blues rock edge in and around the Pittsburgh music scene for 25 plus years.
Her powerful, raw, gritty, lead vocals and dynamic stage presence has played a major role in her success to entertaining any audience.
Tina is joined on stage with Ron Vis on lead guitar, along with Keith Gamble on bass and Eric Storer on drums.
Many, but not all of Tina’s influences include; Daniele Nicole, Beth Hart, Sass Jordan, Grace Slick, Janis Joplin, Allman Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks, Nina Simone, Roberta Flack.

Strums & Drums formed in 2016, by Adreanne Foos (guitar + vocals) and Jeff Foos (drums + hand percussion). The duo performs a variety of music, focusing mostly on writing original music and always entertaining crowds with fan favorite cover songs. In 2017, Strums & Drums released their first full-length album entitled Train of Mystery. The album included 9 live-recorded songs, written by Adreanne and arranged by Jeff, and recorded, mixed & mastered by Matthew Johntony at BMG Studios. Adreanne & Jeff continue to write and arrange original music, and have plans to release another full-length album in fall of 2018 and have plans to release a Christmas album in December of 2018.

FRIDAY, SATURDAY, AND SUNDAY: THE RIVER SAINTS, A 25-YEAR RETROSPECTIVE LIVE RECORDING SESSION, 8:00 – 11:00 PM

This weekend we’re celebrating the birthday of Steve Vuich, a local musician that’s contributed so much to the local live music scene. Over the entire weekend (Friday 8:00 – 11:00, Saturday 8:00 – 11:00, and Sunday 6:00 – 9:00) Steve will be performing with the River Saints and several other musicians who he’s played with over the years to recollect 25 years of the River Saints and other legendary local performers. These 3 days will be recorded live, and a memento CD will be released from the edited material in the near future. Come in and join the fun!

The Club and Akron’s The Summit 90.7 FM team up to bring you 7 acts and over 4 hours of continuous music from some of the best original artists from the Summit’s listening area. The lineup includes J.D. Eicher, James Willaman, White Buffalo Woman, Terry Dach, Demos Papadimas, Ruby Hornsby, and Erica Blinn! The Festhalle doors open at 5:30, tickets are $10. Bar and sandwiches will be available.

With thousands of live gigs under their collective belts, Mulebone is one of the most polished yet spontaneous duos performing today. Comprised of multi-instrumentalist John Ragusa and roots music specialist (and New York Blues Hall of Fame inductee) Hugh Pool, the launching pad for Mulebone’s musical expression is traditional blues, but there’s much more to it than that. Equally at home in the worlds of Rock, Folk, Jazz and American roots music, Mulebone breaks new ground with an original sound that is soulful, agile and adventurous.

THURSDAY: 18 KARAT, 7:00 – 9:00 PM

18 Karat is a traditional jazz trio consisting of Bernard Bonnie (bass guitar), Nick Lakatos (drums, Marimba/vibraphone), and Tim Schneider (electric guitar). They are from the Shenango Valley. This non-vocal group performs proven jazz standards. Source material pulls from such artists as Miles Davis, Johnny Mercer, Herbie Hancock, Sonny Rollins, Stanley Turrentine, and Toots Thieleman. A few “modern” tunes are also played as well that are easily recognizable. Duke Ellington was described as having an 18 karat heart.

FRIDAY: WHISKEY PARK, 8:00 – 11:00 PM

Making their debut at the Club is Youngstown’s Whiskey Park! Beth Harkless, Michael Angelo, James Taylor, Jimmy Vass, and Mark Angelo deliver a smooth blend of rock and blues! Stop in and check them out!

SATURDAY: THE ROCK JAZZ TRIO, 8:00 – 11:00 PM

The Rock Jazz Trio hails from the Slippery Rock/Grove City area. With Jane Gregg on violin, Tony Bellassai on upright bass, and Dennis Grosky on acoustic guitar and vocals, our music is “gypsy jazz,” an upbeat style of music made famous by Django Reinhardt in the 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s. We also play the music of Gershwin , Mancini, Jobim, and Sinatra, all in the gypsy jazz vein. Our music has a vintage feel to it that will keep you tapping your toes.

Plus, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm we’re featuring The Jersey Guy! The Jersey Guy (aka Ron Moore) wrote and played on “Lonely Sands” by the Dunes which had a 5-star Billboard rating and sold 40,000 copies. He also spent 20 years acting and doing voice overs in Pittsburgh. Locals know him best as the DJ at C.W. Dandys, but he has a special talent for playing piano and singing “Old Time 50’s/60’s upbeat Blues and stuff”.

This Wednesday we’re trying something different … karaoke with KJ Eddie K! Our members are used to being entertained, but now is their chance to participate by showing off their vocal skills!

THURSDAY: PM MIRROR, 7:00 – 9:00 PM

PM Mirror is the stage name for Mercer native Will Juergens. Will is an extremely talented young man who’s been living and writing music in the Pittsburgh area for a few years now. We’re honored to be a small part in what is sure to be a long career in music for him, and someday, you can literally say “I saw him there first!”. Will plays mostly all original music on both guitar and piano, and will be accompanied on a few songs by violinist Lena Horowitz. When we asked Will how he would describe his music he said “imagine if Frank Sinatra and Neil Young had a baby that was influenced by pop music…”. Having heard it, we can imagine it, and it’s good stuff. Come in and check him out from 7:00-9:00 pm!

FRIDAY: DAMIAN KNAPP, 8:30 – 10:30 PM

A regular act at the Club, Warren Ohio’s legendary blues guitarist Damian Knapp returns to impress the crowd with his solo Blues act!

SATURDAY: WATERFIRE AFTER THE FIRE PARTY WITH RUBY HORNSBY OPENING (8-9 PM) FOR THE FEATURE, THE VINDYS (9:30 – 11:30PM)

Our legendary After the Fire Party following the day’s events at Waterfire in downtown Sharon is exceptional this month! West Virginia fiddler Ruby Hornsby will be opening the night from 8:00 – 9:00 pm with a set of original tunes, followed by what is now a rare appearance in Sharon by one of Youngstown’s hottest bands, The Vindys from 9:30 – 11:30 pm.This Youngstown 5-piece have established themselves as one of the up-and-coming bands in the region. Fronted by vocalist Jackie Popovec, they play a blend of pop, jazz and rock influenced by Amy Winehouse, Norah Jones, and the Alabama Shakes!

WEDNESDAY: THE “NEW” MAENNERCHOR’S 5th YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY WITH JUVENILE CHARACTERISTICS, 7:00 – 10:00 PM

We’re postponing our normal pizza and Miller Lite Wednesday to celebrate our 5-year anniversary since the “new” Maennerchor reopened on July 11, 2013. It’s been 5 wonderful years …and what better way to celebrate than with Juvenile Characteristics. AClub favorite, this local band consists of Jason Hummell, Jason Sample, Kris Chapman, and Mitch Adelman. Their style is difficult to categorize, but it’s a mix of southern rock, bluegrass, and original tunes!

THURSDAY: STRUMS AND DRUMS, 7:00 – 9:00 PM

Strums & Drums is a husband and wife duo from Warren OH consisting of Adreanne Foos (strums) and Jeff Foos (drums). Jeff is also the drummer for The Mark Soini Trio. They’re making their repeat performance at the Club.

FRIDAY: AVERAGE JANE, 8:30 – 10:30 PM

This acoustic act from Ellwood City plays an eclectic set of upbeat songs from multiple genres spanning the past five decades.

The band features Brandie McClain (Vocals), Christopher Clark (Guitar), Joe Tomak (Percussion & Vocals), and Matt Kish (Guitar).

They’re making their debut at the Club. Help us welcome them!
